It is summer in the countryside of northern Italy. Giacomo, a deaf teenager, heads to the river with Stefania, his best friend. Leaving the beaten paths, they arrive in a paradise where they are alone and free. They are 18, and their senses awaken. This sensual, crystalline country idyll provides an original look at deafness. This first film enchantingly portrays adolescence in a lovely natural setting in Italy.
