A young couple takes stock of their lives and their relationship. Chang Hung-lin wants to emigrate to the United States, but Christine Lee wants to stay in Hong Kong. Finally, they embark on a journey from San Francisco to New York. The feelings of the protagonists change – like the weather. Allen Fong takes the technique used in Ah Ying of mixing reality and fiction even further, to the point of appearing onscreen himself and interacting with the characters. Road movie and fragmented docudrama, Just Like Weather is a unique object, demanding, and priceless – perhaps the director's most daring film.
