Organised within the framework of Paris Cinema International Film Festival, Paris Project is a development and financing platform for carefully selected worldwide feature projects destined for French and European co-production. Furthermore, Paris Project organises screenings of features films in a late stage of postproduction seeking financial completion and looking for presales partners and international sales representatives.

During this intense three-day meeting and networking event, participating filmmakers, producers, sales agents, and financiers will not only benefit from one-to-one pre-scheduled meetings, but also get the opportunity to attend seminars and workshops organised by European leading film industry professionals.

In 2011, more than 350 professionals from 140 companies attended Paris Project, while more than 450 meetings were scheduled.

 

The 2012 edition of Paris Project is organized in partnership with the Hong Kong International Film Festival and HAF - Asian Film Financing Forum, bringing a selection of a couple Hong Kong projects in development. In cooperation with the Taipei Film Commission, Paris Project will once again host a workshop for two Taiwanese and two European selected projects in development.

 

DEADLINES FOR PROJECTS AND FILMS APPLICATION:

 

Paris Project Meetings


Paris Project invites the foreign filmmakers and producers of the selected projects in development to spend 4 days in Paris: personalized appointments and one-to-one meetings are organized with professionals who are likely to be interested in those selected projects and to bring them financial support through co-production or presales. In 2010, more than 350 professionals from 140 societies attended Paris Project and 476 meetings were scheduled.

 

Deadline for projects application: April 20, 2012

(please note that projects have to be submitted by a production company and projects submitted should not have French partners attached)

Some news of Paris Project 2011 selected projects in development: 3 films had been selected for the Atelier in Cannes Film Festival 2012: To kill a man by Alejandro Fernandez-Almendras (Chile), Cannibal by Manuel Martin Cuenca (Spain) and In your name by Marco Van Geffen (Netherlands)


Paris Project screenings

Paris Project also organizes screenings of films in postproduction seeking partners such as sales agents and/or distributors to achieve completion. In 2010, 136 professionals (sales agents, distributors, producers) attended the screenings.

> In 2011, 4 projects were being presented, among which: Future lasts forever by Turkish director Gelececk Uzun Sürer (Awards: Film Festival of Malatya: best film, best director, best music, International Golden Boll Film Festival, in competition: 36th Toronto Film Festival, 41st International Film Festival in Rotterdam)
