À la gare de Varsovie, la veille de Noël, Luxury, un adolescent prostitué délaissé par son « protecteur » qui le juge trop vieux pour ses clients pédophiles, rencontre un jeune garçon en passe de suivre sa voie. Alors qu’un proxénète propose à Luxury de devenir rabatteur, celui-ci doit choisir son camp : exploiter son nouvel ami ou l’aider à construire une autre existence. Filmé en décors réels, ce court métrage est une plongée dans l’univers sombre de la prostitution juvénile. Sans jamais fléchir dans la mise en scène, le jeune cinéaste parvient à maintenir tout au long de l’oeuvre une tension à laquelle s’adjoint progressivement l’émotion. Grâce à un excellent jeu d’acteurs, il instille une atmosphère terrifiante où s’entremêlent peur, séduction et manipulation. Tristement réaliste, ce récit d’enfants perdus et d’adultes prédateurs aborde avec justesse et émotion un thème tabou rarement traité au cinéma.

At the Warsaw station, on Christmas Eve, Luxury – a young male prostitute abandoned by his “guardian” who considers he’s too old for his paedophile clients – meets a young boy about to follow the same path as him. When Luxury is offered a job as a pimp, he has to choose between exploiting his new friend or helping him build a new life. Shot on location, this short film is a journey in the dark world of juvenile prostitution. Without ever weakening in his way of directing, the young filmmaker manages to maintain throughout the film some sort of tension which is gradually joined by emotion. Thanks to the excellent acting performances, he instils a terrifying atmosphere where fear, seduction and manipulation intermix. Sadly realistic, this tale about lost children and predatory adults brings up soundly a taboo subject which has rarely been dealt with in films.
