Bruno, accompagné de sa petite amie Liliane, rend visite à son père qui vit seul en pleine campagne. Culpabilité, ressentiment, violence et affection rendent bientôt la confrontation père / fils inévitable. En déroulant des plans séquences troublants de vérité et d’ambiguïté, au plus près des corps de ses personnages, Arthur Harari fait montre d’une excellence dans sa direction d’acteurs et déjoue avec grâce les pièges de la psychologie. Un film brut, tendu et émouvant.

Together with his girlfriend Liliane, Bruno pays a visit to his father who lives alone in the countryside. Guilt, resentment, violence and affection lead to an inevitable father/son confrontation. With disturbing verisimilitude and ambiguity, Arthur Harari’s sequence shots bring us into close proximity with the characters’ bodies. The direction of actors is excellent and the filmmaker gracefully eludes the traps of psychology. A raw, tense and touching movie.
