Film incentives in Europe
“Over the past years, most European countries have developed mechanisms to incite producers to come and shoot or post-produce their films in their respective territories. Generally, tax credits or other measures that aim to reimburse the producer for a part of the funds spent in the country are put in place. Which ones are the most beneficial to the producer? Is it necessary to have a local co-producer or a local partner ? Must the film pass a national culture test? 90 minutes with a panel of speakers originating from several different European countries to constitute an assessment of this new European Eldorado.”
The debate will be moderated by Ronan Girre, ACE.
> Panelists : Titus Kreyenberg (Unafilm), Anthony Muir (Film I Väst) & David Collins (Samson Films)

Producing independent films today: creativity is required!

The workshop will include a case study of a micro-budget independent American film: ‘Putty Hill’, produced, promoted and sold from Paris by Jordan Mintzer.
