Ko-production in Paris: Co-produce with South-Korea

Mingle with producers with projects in development from South-Korea

Last year, Paris Project has initiated a new and innovative co-production workshop, between French and South-Korean producers, with the collaboration of the Korean Film Council (KOFIC), and with the support of Media International and the Centre National de la Cinématographie (CNC). This year, this ko-production will be extended to European producers who have a project in development that can raise interest from Korean producers and have a strong potential for co-production with South-Korea.
Come and meet with producers from South-Korea and their projects in development during one afternoon!

Seminars

Paris Project - ACE Seminars

Tax incentives in Europe
"Over the past years, numerous European countries have developed mechanisms to incite producers to come and shoot or post-produce their films in their respective territories. Generally, tax credits or other measures that aim to reimburse the producer for a part of the funds spent in the country are put in place. Which ones are the most beneficial to the producer? Is it necessary to have a local co-producer? Must the film pass a national culture test (point system)?
Over a period of two hours, a panel of speakers originating from several different European countries will hold an interactive debate with the public, aiming to constitute an assessment of this new European Eldorado."
The debate will be moderated by Ronan Girre, ACE.
Monday, July 5 from 5PM to 7Pm / BnF - Site François Mitterand (in English)

Europa Distribution Seminars
Why more and more distributors become co-producers?
- Overview of the situation: what happened during these last years - which distributors became producers?
- Why is it more interesting for the distributor to become a co producer rather than to wait and acquire the film later on?
- Confrontation between Distributors and Producers' point of views
The debate will be moderate by Licia Eminenti, Eurimages
Tuesday, July 6 at 2h30PM / BnF - Site François Mitterand (in English)

4 projects in Production: pitches
4 producers will present and defend their project behind the distributors and professionals present at the previous seminar.
Tuesday, July 6 at 17h30 / BnF-Site François Mitterand (in English)
